  • Vinyasa yoga is also called "flow" because of the smooth way the poses run together. Instead of focusing on one pose at a time, the poses are strung together to make a sequence. Each movement is then synchronized with the breath, turning your practice into a moving meditation.

It is a perfect compliment to our Original Hot Yoga and Hot Pilates class!

This class is all levels with a challenging sequence that will not be the same every time. Go at your own pace, listen to your body, modify when needed and watch your practice grow.

These classes are warm.

  • Yin Yoga is almost the complete opposite of everything we do in the Hot Room. It is a slow, soothing and meditative style of yoga done in a darkened room with the heat off, typically about 85 degrees, with meditative music. During the class we allow the muscle structure of the body to collapse, holding mostly passive poses/asanas for about five minutes, allowing the denser tissues of the body, the joints, bones, fascia and ligaments, to absorb the benefits of the postures.

Lengthening extremely tight tissues can be uncomfortable so we focus on learning to use our breath to calm the mind and slow the heart rate. Any level of student can attend. It’s perfect right before or right after one of our other classes at the studio as well. Bring your mat and towel, prepare not to sweat (too much), let it all go and get your yin on!
